About Amanda

Amanda McGrattan is a jeweller and designer who graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art (DJCAD) with a BDes (Hons) in June 2017.

Her inspiration comes from Street Art and Graffiti, the Scottish sculptor Eduardo Paolozzi and her regular trips to India.

She makes unique jewellery using, silver, enamelled copper and mixed material including acrylic, mesh and other recycled media.

Amanda joined the Precious Metals Workshop in October 2017 after gaining one of the Graduate In Residence posts.  This gave her the opportunity to assist in teaching at the night classes and weekend workshops and helping with the general running of the workshops.

For the last 2 years, Amanda has run the workshop along with fellow jeweller, Eve.  When Ian decided to move on from the Precious Metals Workshop Amanda picked up the ropes. She decided to continue running the studios and open under the new name of Leith Jewellery Studios where she aims to continue evolving this great community of jewellers.
