About our makers
Amanda McGrattan
Amanda McGrattan is a jeweller and designer who graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art (DJCAD) with a BDes (Hons) in 2017.
Inspired by street art, graffiti, the Scottish sculptor Eduardo Paolozzi, and her regular visits to India, Amanda creates unique jewellery using silver, enamelled copper, and mixed materials such as acrylic, mesh, and recycled media.
She joined the Precious Metals Workshop in October 2017 as a Graduate in Residence, assisting with night classes, weekend workshops, and the studio’s day-to-day operations.
For the past two years, Amanda has co-managed the workshop with fellow jeweller Eve. When Ian Nicholson moved on from the Precious Metals Workshop, Amanda took over, rebranding it as Leith Jewellery Studios. Her goal is to continue nurturing and evolving this thriving community of jewellers.
